Camp Kozarica isn't just the perfect base for relaxing by the sea – some of the most beautiful corners of Dalmatia are also within easy reach from here. Whether you're looking for adventure, natural beauty, or a touch of local culture, we have the ideal suggestions for your day off. Below, we bring you 4 excursions that should definitely be on your wish list during your stay with us.
Camping Kozarica sits in one of the best spots on the northern Dalmatian coast — close enough to reach the region's finest sights with ease, yet peaceful enough that every return to the campsite feels like coming home. Here are four excursions we recommend to every guest, whether you're staying for three days or three weeks.
Croatia's largest lake is practically at your doorstep from Pakoštane. It's perfect for a morning bike ride along the shoreline trail, birdwatching (the park is home to more than 250 species), or simply a quiet walk away from the summer crowds. Bring your camera — herons and swans love to pose at dawn.
From the coast or nearby marinas, it's easy to arrange a boat trip to the Kornati Islands — a labyrinth of 89 islands, islets and reefs that look as if they've risen straight out of the sea. Full-day tours usually include swimming in hidden coves and lunch on board with homemade local specialties.
Zadar is just a half-hour drive away and makes for a perfect half-day trip. Don't miss the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun on the waterfront — especially at sunset, when the whole promenade comes alive. The narrow stone streets of the old town hide cafés, art studios and Roman ruins at every turn.
Just a 40-minute drive from the campsite lies Nin, one of Croatia's oldest towns, known for its shallow sandy Queen's Beach — ideal for the youngest guests — its healing mud, and salt pans still worked the traditional way today.
